Focus on live-in respite care

The Dickie Bows and Petticoats Club is sponsored by Promedica24 and each month, we feature their services to raise awareness of the challenges facing families up and down the country.

Managing the day-to-day care of a loved one can take a toll on carers, leaving them with feelings of exhaustion, hopelessness, and guilt. As the over 65 population in the UK grows rapidly, the demand for care services is on the rise. In West Sussex alone, the older population is expected to increase by 110,300 by 2041 – up 57%, higher than the national and regional average. And in 2018, over 200,000 people of all ages were living in West Sussex with two or more chronic conditions.

At Promedica24, we understand the challenges family carers face. That’s why our live-in respite care service offers is designed to give peace of mind and provide relief. Our experienced carers provide personalised support tailored to meet the unique needs of your loved one, and are carefully matched to ensure all requirements are met.

How It Works

We prioritise flexibility to accommodate both you and your loved one’s needs. Live-in respite care is available for a minimum of one week, with no maximum period. Whether you need time to attend medical appointments or take a holiday, we require just 48 hours’ notice. Our dedicated Care Team will carry out a comprehensive care assessment to outline the level of care required. This assessment is both free and non-obligatory.

Respite Plus

For those seeking to organise live-in respite care in advance, we offer the Respite Plus package. Committing to a minimum of three separate weeks a year allows you to plan ahead. Additionally, we understand the importance of continuity of care and the relationships that are built, so we strive to appoint the same carer for each respite occasion where possible.

Promoting Well-being and Independence

Ageing can come with challenges, and we know it is important to remain at home, surrounded by cherished belongings and memories. Our live-in respite care service enables you to experience our live-in care service for one week or more and affords you the opportunity to assess how Promedica24 can support you and your loved one.

Plan Ahead

Preparation is key to effectively balancing life and caring responsibilities. With the demand for care services rising in West Sussex, live-in respite care offers an ideal solution to support family carers and their loved ones.
