Each Vintage Weekender focuses on three core themes.This year, it's 60s', 20s' and 50's, with many themes intertwined within each day. Dressing up is welcomed but optional - your enjoyment is what matters most to me, so you do you! More information on eras and themes below!

We looked around to find like-minded souls who were there just to have fun and explore the realms of Dawn's fabulousness mashed together to create the magic of weekender! We re-booked whilst we were there!
A Brief History...
The very first Vintage Weekender was back in 2016, because of my successful Kickstarter campaign. I will forever be thankful to those "backers" for believing in me and helping my vintage dreams become a reality. The feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive and has helped me shape and grow the event to what it is going to be later on this year in October 2024 Nothing is more important than providing an inclusive, immersive experience for people of all ages and backgrounds to come and enjoy, with a huge helping of kitsch thrown in just for good measure! A long weekend away with me is guaranteed to have you smiling, I can't wait to do it all over again!
2024 Vintage Weekender Themes
FRIDAY
Freaky Fifties
From the moment you arrive, I want you to feel like you've been transported back to another time. For this welcome to Weekender, we will embody the 1950s but with a twist. Arrive in your finest 50s threads, and then dress up in the evening when we are paying tribute to the B-Movie Horror era which was at least a little silly and camp! (No clowns will be welcome as dress up) Dance the night away with our superstar DJ and awesome band VINTAGE!
The Weekender Hair & Beauty parlour will be open early until supper and if you fancy booking ahead and treating themselves to a perfect updo, beautiful make up or even a manicure/pedicure or massage,then the booking diary is now open
The afternoon activities involve a solo stroll dance workshop, a pin up posing workshop, quizzes and of course all of the many on-site facilities. There's a pool, a games room and many wonderul indoor or outdoor places to sit and socialise with Weekender friends

AFTERNOON & EVENING
Arrivals afternoon. Your fanciest 50s dress & petticoats, beetle creepers and slacks.
Evening. Either 'Halloween' (no clowns please) film icons (think Dracula, Werewolf, Mummy) or simply add some touches to your 50s outfit such as cat ears or Devil horns.

SATURDAY
Macs & Flappers
The vibe is Bugsy Malone with all the silliness of Weekender. Not only will the Vintage Market return and the Capture Every Costume Studio be fully themed, but there's a full day of activities and classes. For those who left their dancing shoes at home, there's lots of things to keep you occupied but for those who fancy cutting a rug, there's plenty to keep your toes tapping.
A highlight is the ever popular mobility scooter derby, themed of course! Try your luck against Dandy Dan
The evening is a right 'ole rumpus from early evening in the main ballroom, to late night in the intimate Speakeasy for those who want to indulge in the lock-in after hours.
However you choose to indulge, it'll be a feast for the eyes, ears and minds

Flower Power & Sci-Fi Sunday
Sunday is a day of two halves. We teleport you back to the summer of 69 where peace and love were the main agenda, and free love and self expression were high on the agenda. We'll take it easy in the daytime to allow you to chill out if you wish, with lots of good vibrations and zen activities to embody the cool vibes of our very own Woodstock, with Lakestock!
Take the opportunity to book a massage or festival make up in the Hair & Beauty Parlour!
For our finale evening, we celebrate one of the most historical cultural events which also happened in the Summer of 69 - the Moon landing! Catch the Dalek double feature in the Cinema, join in with the Space-race (mobility scooter) derby and try your hand at laser pistol shooting! So buckle up space folk and aliens for a nigth with The Revolvers who will give you a time travelling musical journey through the decade while we put on our tin hats and silver suits to dance the night away.
The evening will end with a farewell sing-a-long with the intrepid Yellowcoats!

Capture Every Costume

FOR 2024
Each year, guests go to amazing lengths to dress up and really immerse themselves in the themes and we always see things on social media after the event and wonder how we missed seeing some of the outfits!
So last year we introduced a professional photo studio to literally capture every costume! It was a huge success and returns this year with resident photographer Carlien who will has been working hard on themed sets for each day!
Please note the new location in the old cinema building in the courtyard. All films will be shown in the Cabaret Restaurant instead.
To make things easy for you all, all you need to do is click the link below and pre-order a wristband that has to be worn all weekend to allow you unlimited access to the studio. Yes, only £25 for the whole weekend per person to capture each look you bring.
Wristbands will be available for pick up on arrivals day
No band, no access so groups will be checked before entering the studio. We've kept it very well priced so hope you want to join the fun
Images will be available via an online portal for you to download until 20th October

We welcome the wonderful Netty who is a very experienced hair dresser & make up artist. She will be coordinating the team this year, making sure your experience in the parlour is memorable and leave you feeling utterly fabulous.

Can I book on behalf of others?
Yes, you can be the 'lead booker' but do let the reservations team know that you authorise others in the group to change/add to/pay for things in relation to your booking. Take a note of the reservation number
Are there big chalets for large groups?
No, but you can ask for a grouping together when you speak to the reservations team 023 9246 3976
How much is the deposit?
Full payment woudl be due upon booking this close to the event
Can I come for just one day/evening?
Nope! It's a Weekender and therefore a weekend experience Fri-Mon - although you can check out Sunday evening if you need to get back for work/family
Is food included?
yes, it's half board, so breakfast and dinner included. There is a cafe in the Piano Bar for lunches
Are children allowed?
No, this is an adult break so no little ones
